Leah LOVES music. She loves to sing, and dance, and whenever there is good music on, she has to pull me from my computer chair (which is where I can usually be found) insisting that I dance with her. She jumps up and down, with her hands limps at her side, and sometimes she runs in circles so fast that she either falls down, or hits something. Lately she's discovered some new music. First, Josh Groban is one of her favorites. She likes "Lullaby" or "babye" as she calls it, and also "Weeping" or as she says, "say ah." We get in the car and Joshy is the first things that she asks for. But lately, her favorite song is "Love Lockdown" by...Kanye West. Now, I don't usually listen to this type of music, but I love this song. It has a very tribal kind of feel, with heavy drum beats and even some chanting that Leah mistakes for monkeys. This is Leahs FAVORITE. She asks for it multiple times a day. "Drums mom, Monkeys." When I turn it on, she "drums" her hands on what ever she can find. Once, we got in the car, and Leah started drumming on her lap before I could even hear what song was on. What a funny girl. She's one and into Hip hop, what's she going to like when she's 2?
