My brother, TJ, invited us to go to Moab with him this past weekend. We had a blast! We rented a jeep and tried to keep up with all the guys in their hard-core, tricked out vehicles. Our stock jeep did surprisingly well, it didn't have the clearance that the others had, but other than that, we were able to go most any where.

This is us in our jeep. Leah thought it was cool to ride with the top off. She did really good though the whole ride, she kept saying,
"whoa, bumpy!"

This is TJ, going up an obstacle. We hit another obstacle,
the elevator, that caused us a bit of trouble. TJ got stuck and it took a few men on tow ropes, and others standing on his driver side to get him to straighten out, and get his tires on the ground. He got a little
"rock rash" on that one. Stephanie wasn't too happy to see the scrapes and dents in the well polished, babied four runner. Our attempts brought attention from bikers, and fellow jeepers. We had quite an audience of strangers watching, taking pictures, and even filming. One man jokingly said, "wouldn't it be easier to to a hammer and just start pounding away at your truck?" I laughed and said,
"wheres the fun in that?" His wife just kept shaking her head repeating
"your crazy, thats crazy!" GOOD TIMES!

Leah and Toby's favorite part was
playing in the dirt. They thought it was especially funny when they dumped dirt on each others heads. We had
VERY messy girls at the end of the day!

The following day, we didn't have the jeep rental, so TJ and Steph went riding with out us, while we (Us, Dad, Susan, Ashley & Seth) went hiking in
Arches National Park. Leah loved her little back pack, much to my surprise. Her dangling legs kicked Brad in the butt with every step.

Here was our reward after a 1.5 mile hike: Seeing the amazing
Delicate Arch! How cool is that! Definitely worth the trip. Leah, of course, didn't care about the arch at all, but rather the lizards that Aunt Ashley tried unsuccessfully to catch. After hiking back down, we drove around the rest of the park, catching a glimpse of Double Arch, Balanced Rock, and the Windows. I would have liked to hike to Landscape Arch, but no one was with me on that, (they were almost asleep) I'm really glad that we came. I can't believe that I've lived in Utah my whole life, and have never been to Moab, in fact there are a lot of amazing places in Utah that I've never been to...hmmm I need to fix that :)

One night, the moon was so huge! Dad and I ran with our cameras to get a picture. Unfortunately, we were a little late, and missed the best part, but I thought this picture, The moon over the colorado river, turned out OK.
