The Zoo

We had a great time at the Zoo! Those that came: Dad, Susan, Me, Leah, TJ, Steph, Toby, Brittney, Jason, Ellie. 

It was such a fun and relaxing day. We just took our time, seeing all the animals. Dad, of course was behind his lens, taking pictures the whole time. He got some great ones! 

Leah loved all the animals. She was excited about each and everyone. But if you ask what her favorite part of the zoo was, she would say: Leah drink lions mouth. She thought this drinking fountain was hilarious! 

We also loved the monkeys. They were excited and active, swinging and jumping around. 
Giraffes are my favorite. This guys stood by us, just watching for a long time. 
The cats were all very boring, just sleeping in the afternoon sun. But we got plenty of roaring excitement from the girls.

Ellie slept through most of the zoo, but woke up long enough to give us some great smiles. I guess we'll just have to take her another day time when she is older. darn. 
Of course no zoo trip would be complete with out a ride on the train.  Leah loves Choo Choo's, and was so excited to finally be able to ride one. 
It was a great day at the zoo. Brad was bummed that he couldn't come, so I guess we'll have to go back- ok Leah hasn't given us a choice. She says, Back Zoo. Ask Dad. Thanks to our PAPArazzi for our great pictures!

Irrigation Time

This may seem like a funny thing to blog about but I had to take some time to show how proud I am of Brad. Honestly, he is one of the hardest working people I have ever met. He's taken his Dad's advice to heart: If you don't have too many things on your plate, than you aren't working hard enough. Brad wakes up at the butt crack of dawn to work on his horses, the arena, the fields, or the Roping Club (or some mornings, all of the above) then he works a overly full day. Then his evening are filled with all the things he didn't get done in the morning. And with all this, he still has time to be a great Dad and husband. He is such an amazing guy. 

So I wanted to post about the fields that he has been working on. He got the idea to plant the fields last year, and although some alfalfa grew, we didn't get the crop we wanted. But this year has already been much better. He's worked tirelessly making irrigation ditches (he doesn't mind, he's elated at any time he gets to spend on his tractor) And finally our first irrigation turn came! Leah and I went down to have dinner with him. He had to stay there to "baby sit" to make sure the water was getting turned down to the right places at the right time. He would come home for an hour or two during the night, then go back down. He finally got home at 6 am. But our ditches were a success! I'm so proud of all Brad's work and how smart he is! I love my cute farmer! 

Memorial Day

We had a great Memorial Day weekend. First the girls (Mom, Steph, Toby, Leah, Jerica and I) went to St. George for some much needed get away time! I didn't post any pictures, because I didn't take much (shocking, I know) But we had a great time swimming, shopping, and playing. 

For the actual Memorial Day, we went to the Morgan house for the big BBQ. It was lots of fun, with tons of people!! We had great food (of course) Dad and Susan got a cotton candy machine. It was a big hit, and I don't think there was a spot on Leah that wasn't sticky! Oh well, she had a great time. 
We always play games after the BBQ. Baseball, Volleyball, Football. Its lots of fun. I sat out this year, to play with the little kids. Brad, of course, had a great time. He had to reign it in, because every time he unleashed the full force of his talent, he would launch the ball over the fence. Ahh honey, your just too good :)
These got uploaded in the wrong order, but I was trying to show how he was all confident and cocky (below) then eased it up with a tiny hit (above) 
I played with my big camera a little, but I decided to leave the picture taking to the professionals. 
This is my Dad, (aka PAPArazzi) We didn't see him the whole day because his face was hidden behind his camera. He just got this bad boy, and his face hasn't been free since. He's learning a lot and doing a great job! 
During the few times the games were halted because of Brads hard core hitting, we entertained ourselves with lots of pictures. 

I love my Sister-in-laws. We are all excited for Keynan and Sarah's baby Cole (or baby Cold as Leah says) 

After all the fun at the Morgan's we went to Doug and Carols for a BBQ dinner. It was a much quieter evening. (honestly, after spending time with the Morgans, anything is quiet by contrast. Its all part of the crazy mayhem that I love) Leah had fun sitting by the river and throwing rocks, and playing ball with Kanyon. I love my family and all the time I get to spend with them.
