Oh, Winter

It’s tough. After the end of the holidays, we hunker down against the cold, and try to stick it out till spring. But I decided that this year, we aren’t just going to endure the winter, we are going to enjoy it!

Inspired my friend Emily, I made a list. {gasp. Me, a list?} of fun things to do this winter.

My list:
#5 Go Ice Skating.

We had so much fun. Leah loved it. She kept trying to skate by herself. I said "stop running away from me." She said, "I'm not running away from you, I'm Ice Skating away from you."
We finally got her an ice aid (since the thirteen year old boys were done with it--losers) and she loved skating around by herself.
#--well. This wasn't on the list. But it would go under the categories of "crafts."
Leah got some bird seed from Preschool and we made bird feeders with it.

#19 Build a snowman #38 Play in the snow with colored water

The snow wouldn't set up, so our snow chick is a beach bum sun tanning on the beach. Fun, huh?
#48 Have a puppet show
I let Leah go to town and paint our puppet theater.
The finished product. Cute, eh?
The only puppets we had. We made new ones to go with it.

So, we're enjoying this winter time. I'm using it as an opportunity to do some things that I'm too busy to do in the summer. I can't wait to cross some more things off the list!

Child Labor or Smart Parenting?

Maybe both....

Leah wants to buy a toy and a treat in Disneyland, so I've been making her earn the money. She dumped garbages at the sign shop and was pretty excited when she earned a dollar.
Gotta start them early, right?
